Not just a tray, but a treatment plan

Invisible braces begin with visible clinical assessment

Aligners move teeth through carefully planned forces. Before the first tray, we therefore assess more than tooth alignment. Gums, supporting tissues, fillings, crowns and the bite are also part of the examination.

A digital scan provides the basis for virtual planning. The simulation is a planning aid, not a guarantee of a result that can be predicted to the millimetre. How teeth and tissues actually respond remains decisive, which is why personal progress reviews are part of treatment.

Five clear treatment stages

From the first examination to retention

01

Personal examination

Teeth, gums, bite and existing restorations are assessed. Responsible planning requires a healthy and diagnostically suitable starting point.

02

Digital scan and treatment goal

A digital scan records tooth positions. Together we discuss which changes are clinically appropriate and aesthetically realistic.

03

Individual tray sequence

A coordinated series of aligners is made from the plan. Each tray performs a defined part of the tooth movement.

04

Personal progress reviews

At reviews, Mr Spring assesses not only the fit of the tray but also teeth, gums and actual progress.

05

Stabilising the result

After active tooth movement, a retention solution is discussed to help keep the achieved tooth position stable.

Daily wear and participation

The digital plan can only be implemented when the trays are worn and changed according to your individual recommendation. Careful oral hygiene and keeping aligners in a clean case are also part of daily treatment.

Understanding costs transparently

The price depends on more than the number of trays

Initial findings, treatment goal, one or both arches, required reviews, additional tray sequences and retention all influence the overall scope. We therefore do not quote blanket fixed prices. Instead, we explain realistic ranges and always prepare a personal cost estimate after planning.

Frequently asked questions

Five common questions about invisible braces

These answers provide orientation. We assess whether treatment is suitable for you after an examination and digital scan.

How invisible are clear aligners in everyday life?
Aligners are made of transparent plastic and are usually much less noticeable in conversation than metal brackets. They are not completely invisible, however. Depending on the treatment plan, small tooth-coloured attachments may be necessary and can be visible at close range.
How many hours a day do aligners need to be worn?
The trays need to be worn consistently for predictable tooth movement. Your recommended daily wear time and change schedule are set according to the findings and aligner system. They are removed particularly for meals and for cleaning your teeth and trays.
Can I eat and drink while wearing invisible aligners?
Aligners are generally removed for meals. Water can usually be consumed while wearing them; trays should be removed for sugary, acidic or hot drinks and oral hygiene should be observed. You receive specific instructions when your trays are fitted.
Which tooth positions can be treated with aligners?
Clear trays may be suitable for certain mild to moderate crowding, gaps or tilted teeth. Complex bite and jaw relationships may require a different approach or specialist orthodontic care. A reliable recommendation is only possible after a personal examination.
How long does aligner treatment in Berlin take?
Duration depends on the initial findings, the number of planned movements, consistent wear and the actual course of treatment. Small corrections can be considerably shorter than extensive treatment. After digital planning, we explain a realistic time frame and the necessary reviews.
