Aligners Berlin-Tegel – Invisible Tooth Correction at the Dentist
Correcting crooked teeth without anyone noticing – that is the wish of many adults who cannot imagine wearing conventional metal braces. With modern aligners, we make exactly that possible: transparent, removable trays that gradually and discreetly move your teeth into the desired position.

What are aligners and how do they work?
Aligners are individually made, transparent plastic trays that gradually move teeth into the desired position through gentle, continuous pressure. Treatment begins with a digital 3D scan of your teeth – no more unpleasant impression material. Based on this scan, the entire treatment is planned digitally: you can already see on the computer before treatment begins how your teeth will look at the end. A series of trays is then produced, which you typically change every 1 to 2 weeks. Each tray moves the teeth a little further until the treatment goal is achieved.
Advantages over fixed braces
The biggest advantage of aligners is obvious: they are nearly invisible. In everyday life, at work and at social occasions, the treatment is barely noticeable. Added to this is the removability: for eating, brushing teeth and for special moments, you can simply remove the trays. This makes oral hygiene significantly easier than with fixed braces – and prevents the typical discolouration and cavities that can occur with metal braces. There are no pressure points from metal parts or wires. Many patients report that they got used to the trays within a few days and barely notice them anymore.
Who are aligners suitable for?
Aligners are excellent for adults and teenagers with mild to moderate misaligned teeth: crowding, gaps, slight crossbites or tilting of individual teeth can be treated very well with aligners. For severe misalignments or complex orthodontic findings, fixed braces or an orthodontic referral may be more appropriate. In a personal consultation, we assess your individual situation and recommend the most suitable method for you.
Treatment duration and costs
Treatment duration depends on the initial findings and treatment goal and is typically 6 to 24 months. Aligners are generally not covered by statutory health insurance; private patients and those with supplementary dental insurance may be reimbursed proportionally depending on their tariff. We provide a transparent cost estimate before treatment begins. After completing aligner treatment, we recommend a retainer to secure the result long-term.
